Daily Gospel Reading for November 26, 2022 – Saturday in the Thirty-Fourth Week of Ordinary Time Bible Verse

The 26th of November, 2022 is Saturday in the Thirty-Fourth Week of Ordinary Time. The Bible scriptures for the holy mass readings for this day came from the Year 2022 of Liturgical Calendar.

Reading 1: RV 22:1-7

The first reading from the Book of Revelation.

He showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will serve him.

They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

He said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon.”

“Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Responsorial Psalm: PS 95:1-2, 3-5, 6-7AB

Response: Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!

Oh come, let’s sing to Yahweh. Let’s shout aloud to the rock of our salvation!

Let’s come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let’s extol him with songs!

R: Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!

For Yahweh is a great God, a great King above all gods.

In his hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights of the mountains are also his.

The sea is his, and he made it. His hands formed the dry land.

R: Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!

Oh come, let’s worship and bow down. Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker, for he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, and the sheep in his care.

R: Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!

Gospel of the Day: LK 21:34-36

From the gospel verse according to Luke.

“So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.

Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
