Daily Gospel Reading for November 14, 2022 – Monday in the Thirty-Third Week of Ordinary Time Bible Verse

The 14th of November, 2022 is Monday in the Thirty-Third Week of Ordinary Time. The Holy Bible verses for the mass readings for this day came from the Liturgical Calendar Year 2022.

Reading 1: RV 1:1-4; 2:1-5

The first reading from the Book of Revelation.

This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things which must happen soon, which he sent and made known by his angel to his servant, John, who testified to God’s word and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, about everything that he saw.

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it, for the time is near.

John, to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from God, who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne.

“To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write: “He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things: “I know your works, and your toil and perseverance, and that you can’t tolerate evil men, and have tested those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and found them false.

You have perseverance and have endured for my name’s sake, and have not grown weary.

But I have this against you, that you left your first love.

Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you swiftly, and will move your lamp stand out of its place, unless you repent.”_”_”

Responsorial Psalm: PS 1:1-2, 3, 4 and 6

Response: “To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna.”

Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.

R: “To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna.”

He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.

R: “To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna.”

The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

R: “To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna.”

Gospel of the Day: LK 18:35-43

From the gospel scripture according to Luke.

As he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.

Hearing a multitude going by, he asked what this meant.

They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

He cried out, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”

Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”

Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him, “What do you want me to do?” He said, “Lord, that I may see again.”

Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.”

Immediately he received his sight and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
